Re: Cleanflight aka Multiwii port to STM32 F10x and F30x

Anyway we could get some code to bind a spektrum satellite receiver from the GUI? This would make life a lot easier. Sure as hell beats hooking up the big rx everytime :)

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Hi timecop, slightly off topic but could you make a recommendation for 15-20A esc's that utilize dedicated gate driver chips (besides the KISS esc obviously)? I think the one thing the KISS esc's have shown is that you can get pretty significant performance improvements using active/regenerative/wha...

bluetooth protocol

Hi all, is the protocol/format for reading the multiwii settings over serial documented somewhere? If so, can someone point me in the right direction?

timecop wrote:Sure, if you don't need any sensors.

So the SDA/SCL pins are exposed simply to facilitate the addition of other slave devices and the sensors are already on the i2c bus?

Can I just use the softserial driver then?

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

I've modified baseflight on my naze32 to allow me to use UART1 for gps instead of UART2, but I' having a bit of trouble with the afromini. UART1 is the serial link used to program the board, UART2 is our gps/serialrx, and I'm having a bit of trouble telling what UART3 is used for (PB10/PB11). Judgin...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

As an addendum, I'm a very proficient C programmer though admittedly I've only recently gotten into microcontrollers. I'd like to take one of the two remainer USART DMA interfaces (USART1 or USART3) on my AfroMini32 and use it for a GPS Rx/Tx since I'm using USART for my satellite Rx. USART1 is the ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

TC, it seems you have private messages disabled. I was going to contact you to see if there is anyway I could buy one of these boards with the spektrum connector. Is this something you'd be open to? Does the built in spektrum rx connector mean that GPS and the satellite receiver can be used at the s...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Someone on RCgroups mentioned that rev6 boards were available with a spektrum satellite connector directly from TC's website. The only listing I see on the abusemark store is for revision 5 boards. Can someone confirm the rev6's are available?

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Besides flashing my naze32 to cleanflight, there is no way to use a satellite receiver and GPS together, correct? If this is the case, could I change that by editing the serialUSART2 function to use different pins depending on whether its serialrx o...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Just reflashed to latest firmware in baseflight gui and vbat stopped working. Vbat is enabled and other telemetry info is reading on Taranis. Vfas on Taranis is 0. I was getting a reading prior to the update. Voltage measures full battery on vbat pins. Voltage reads correctly on the initial setup t...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Perhaps its because my background is in medicine and not electrical engineering, but I'm always more convinced by empirical evidence than theory. So while I understand timecop (and others) displeasure with oneshot PWM, it's hard to ignore the people that have tried the exact same build with and with...

Re: Harakiri aka multiwii port to stm32

Unfortunately my german is subpar and reading that translation on fpvtreff.de made my brain hurt. Can someone just tell me very simply what is the advantage of using Harakiri over baseflight trunk?

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

TC, I'm looking at your AfroMini 32 and it looks like an awesome board. I just feel like there has to be some catch. Why isn't it more popular? Or are people just missing out? I want to buy one from your website but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Fucking finally! fixed my problem. For anyone else that is experiencing "lagging" and choppy motor/receiver movements when using a OrangeRX transmitter and DSMX/DSM2 receiver, the solution is simple. Look at the blinking green light on your OrangeRX receiver: single flash: 2048, 11ms DSM2 ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

I made a 20 second video which should clarify the problem I'm having. Note how smoothly the bars move when moving the quad by hand, but how choppy it is when taking Rx input. And yes, this translates into actual choppiness when running the motors. http://youtu.be/LR5okJse8VE Any suggestions would be...

Unfortunately not. The motors act the same way. Lag, quick spin up, not smooth with a throttle up.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Hi all, having an odd problem with my naze. When I originally set it up and tested it via USB w/ a satellite receiver everything was fine. But after changing some settings and rebooting, I'm having a very weird issue. When I look at the receiver input in baseflight configurator, the movement is very...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

I apologize if this is a dumb question. I have my naze32 acro hooked up via USB. Will it supply 5v power to the receiver connection while powered by USB or only when powered by battery? Also for anyone that was experiencing a similar problem (error code 43 on windows) while connecting their naze, us...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Hi all, running into a problem here. I just received my acro naze32 rev5. I've downloaded the most recent silabs CP210x USB to UART bridge VCP drivers from their website and I'm running Windows 7 64bit. I just soldered on the header pins then connected the board via USB to two different windows comp...
