HAHAHA!! Not a problem! Back in the day, that's what I wrote most in and what I still think in. Too old to learn anything new. :)

Re: Why development has stopped?

Wow, went off to do other stuff and thought this thread was dead. IF I was to redo this myself I'd.. A) The flight controller would just be a flight controller. Roll, pitch, rudder, throttle. No GPS, no anything but make the bird fly. Simple Simple Simple! Want more "features"? Add another...

Re: Why development has stopped?

Sometimes its a good idea to take what you've learned and start over fresh? I do it all the time and really, it does work well for cleaning things up and getting back on track. That's what I'm doing now. I have a pretty good idea what I want as an end product. With this in mind I've just took a blan...

Re: Different Yaw Speed for clockwise and counter clockwise

I see the same thing on my Quad. (3lbs of aircraft) Doesn't like turning right so much, turns to the left much better.

Re: What can cause disarming?

We have everything in stock. So, we started replacing one thing at a time. Radio, ESC unit, MulitiWii control board, battery, wiring.. The last thing we swapped out was.. The Serial GPS unit. That was seriously the last part of the original machine. Seems to have solved the problem. How the GPS coul...

Re: What can cause disarming?

Thanks for the reply!! Yes, its set to the stick arm/disarm. No, he's not hitting the disarm, he's pretty experienced. In fact, if he's high enough, he's been rearming in the air to save his machine. Looks like I'm going to need to look into the failsafe stuff and reconfigure accordingly. Thanks aga...

What can cause disarming?

One of my guys has a weird issue where his quad will randomly disarm in flight. We're pretty sure its disarming 'cause one time he was able to rearm it before it crashed. Sometimes he can run out an entire charge with no issues, sometimes it just falls out of the sky. We even caught it on video wher...

Re: Currently on 2.1 – GPS PosH better on 2.2 or 2.3?

We have 2.3 in our machines. HObby king multiwii board with GPS. Same deal. It holds for awhile (minute or so?) then starts to drift around bigger and bigger circles. This is when it works. Every once in awhile it will just dive the aircraft into the dirt. When this happens it happens so fast there'...

Re: OK how do Multiwii PIDs really work?

For PID tuning its hard to beat holding your copter in one hand while its running and do small tweaks to see how the "feel" changes. Helps to have a buddy standing there with the R/C to shut the machine down if things get scary. -Also helps to wear a helmet.. But, hanging on, twisting etc....

Re: How does throttle work & where?

It flies, so the props and motors are all installed correctly. Its just bringing the power up to fly is where the trouble is.

Re: How does throttle work & where?

ACC is calibrated. Not movement issue because the problem is 100% reproducible. Bad sensor? I've not seen anything on the screen to lead me to this conclusion. But, I'll look closer at that. I was hoping that someone that understood the code could narrow down my search as to where and how this is ca...

Re: How does throttle work & where?

I don't think that's the case. When running at MINTHROTTLE the motors purr like kittens. Its not 'till you up the throttle a tiny bit does the problem occur. Actually they will purr like kittens if you comment out #define MOTOR_STOP and run the throttle down as low as possible. At this point they ar...

How does throttle work & where?

I understand MINTHROTTLE, I can adjust it and see it working with the multiWii config program. It sets the minimum idle speed of the motors. (Quadcopter here) What sets the next speed up? The off-idle speed? I see this vary from copter to copter and have no idea what's going on. I have one machine t...

Re: Fast settings for computer controlled quad

You may have an issue deciding when you are finished with a waypoint. I say this 'cause 3 of your points have roughly the same error and the opposite three also have roughly the same error in the same direction but smaller. Like there was a wind blowing the machine to one side and it wasn't sure whe...

GPS Park mode.

I've been going over tons of documents about setting up the GPS hold mode. I'm lost.. From what I've seen on the MultiWiiConfig program, we've been running our quads in angle mode. I don't see acro mode anywhere. Anyway, what we'd like to do is that once we're in deep doo, we'd like to switch to GPS...
