Re: Problem with arming motors via MSP
I'm still a beginner, but the logic looks sound to me. Have you tried viewing the status of the inputs in MultiWiiGUI to verify that you commands are being recognized (I'm not sure if you're able to use both the Raspberri Pi and MultiWiiGUI at the same time -- you'd know better than I). How long are...

Re: Failsafe not working
After more investigation, it looks like the satellites do not maintain last channel levels when signal is lost. It looks like it drops to zero. By enabling the optional MultiWii failsafe (with #DEFINE FAILSAFE), it drops throttle for a landing (MinThrottle+200 for 20 seconds), then disarms. I can't ...

Re: MultiWii Pro with 2.3 code - Three Questions
You need the travel of your channels to be 1000-2000 (centered on 1500). I don't know what the arm threshold is, I think it might me 1900. So you are probably just making it over 1900 to arm, but are just shy of dropping below 1100 to disarm.

Failsafe not working
When I use my full-sized RX (Orange R800X) into the traditional board inputs, the throttle drops down when I turn off my transmitter. However, when I am using the R110X satellite via DEFINE SPEKTRUM 2048, the throttle (and perhaps other channels) all hold their position. This could lead to the loss ...

Re: No Rx signal in MWII 2.3 GUI
Could it be something simple on the TX like your travel adjust or trims being way out of whack? Try rebinding. Try a new profile slot.

AUX Outputs?
I'd like to use a Spektrum Satellite with a Tarot ZXY cable instead of a full receiver, but I also have two devices that operate off of receiver channels #7 and #8 (a video A/B switcher and something to toggle my LED lights). There must be a way to re-purpose some of the flight inputs as AUX outputs...

Re: Taking off like a rocket, near impossible to control
Update: Things are a little better since I added the MPU6050_LPF_48 filter, but still not great. I might be able to finally start playing with the PIDs, but things are still a but wonk. I still need the extreme throttle expo set (as mentioned in an earlier post), but at least there isn't as much of ...

Re: Taking off like a rocket, near impossible to control
My motor mounts won't be here until next week (and who knows when the weather will cooperate - we just had a bunch of snow).
Anyway, how many people find that they need to use the MPU6050 LPF filters? I'm thinking I might give those a try, thoughts?

Re: Taking off like a rocket, near impossible to control
I have it at 1065 or so, any lower and some of the motors fail to spin up when armed.

Re: Taking off like a rocket, near impossible to control
Does the quadcopter fall out of the sky like a rock when you reduce throttle? Or is it able to slowly descend? It can't slowly descend, it just wants to climb. Well, it's really difficult to descend slowly. It ends up climbing away so fast that it's too difficult to thread the throttle just right t...

Re: Taking off like a rocket, near impossible to control
i guessing this is happening in acro mode ? ie no flight modes enabled like angle or baro check you have the right gyro selected in config.h ? with it plugged into gui i think there is way you an check your gyro working "correctly" by looking at corresponding graph for each gyro axis and ...

Re: Taking off like a rocket, near impossible to control
It's not twitchy when revving the throttle on the bench, just in flight (in response to gyros I'm guessing).

APailthorp,
I am having a similar issue. Did any of these suggestions work for you?

Taking off like a rocket, near impossible to control
I'm running an AIOP clone, and it's taking off like a rocket and is nearly impossible to control. I have to have my Throttle Mid at .90 and Throttle Expo at .10 just to do anything with it, and it's still takes off fast and is so hard to control that I can't even begin to fine tune the PIDs. Does an...

Re: AUX 2 on Spektrum DX6i;Possible?
Ok, it turns out I was being slightly dense. I had made the same setting in a different simpler model to use the FLAP/GYRO switch for something, so I went and had a look. You have to go into the FLAPS menu and set NORM FLAP +100 and LAND FLAP to -100 (or vice versa). That's what was keeping me from ...

Re: AUX 2 on Spektrum DX6i;Possible?
Perhaps I'm a little dense -- I am still a little new to R/C stuff. Why can't the flaps toggle switch be used directly for AUX2? Why is all of this weird mixing needed to get it to work? Is this not simply the 6th channel from the DX6i? I'm setting up a Crius AIO Pro v2 clone (from HK), and this AUX...
