Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
Hi, I just installed my second MWOSD (kv from witespy hardware) on a 1s copter. I'm trying to read the voltage with the osd bat2 port (because bat1 is video for some reason ) and it's giving me 1.9 volts. I left everything default on the voltage tab except for testing between 3 cells and 1 cell. Th...

Re: Throttle Passthrough
Thanks for the replies. I've used the ESC calib not fly feature to calibrate them, but there are some other settings that need to be changed in the ESC (PWM frequency, turn off soft start, etc.). I tried using the ESC calib not fly feature again today and this time three of the ESCs calibrated and o...

Throttle Passthrough
Hi,
I was wondering if there was some sort of throttle passthrough to change the settings on all my ESCs at once (they can't be flashed with simonk). I have calibrated them with multiwii's built in calibration, but I also need to change some esc settings besides endpoints.
Thanks

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Damn, you've got this down.
I posted in the KV OSD thread at FPVLab asking if anyone had used the whitespy OSD with the Naze32 and no one seemed to respond so I'm a bit paranoid about actually plugging the OSD back in.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Well damn, that's awesome!
I'm glad that it was able to be fixed after all I'd done to it. Hope the motor pins are working!
Good luck with the next board, hopefully it's a bit less work to fix...
Thanks again

Re: RSSI through RC channel
I think this is already there. Question...what kind of Tx and Rx you're using? I tested this last night on naze32 and FrSky Rx over CPPM and it's not working on minimosd with kv-osd v2.2. I'm using open LRS which has the ability to inject rssi as a servo channel. This works on naze32 with basefligh...

RSSI through RC channel
Hi I was wondering if anyone had thought of getting RSSI in a specific RC channel VS a specific pin. Basically like how baseflight does it where you can have RSSI coming in as an aux channel and allow multiwii to read it. That way you can send RSSI over your ppm cable as well. It shouldn't be hard t...

I have all the equipment to do that repair cleanly.
That would be amazing! Pm me your details?

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
So a way to avoid this would be to power the Naze before the OSD? Also, since minim is trash is there a better option for a light osd?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Thanks for the vids and the help guys. I may have to try it because I just received a second naze32 and when connected to my minimosd the stm32 fried. I'm not sure what's up with this... I checked for ground loops and saw none. So instead of buying one I may have to try to reattach a new stm32. At f...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Hi. My original Naze has definitely been beat down. The receiver's ground and voltage lines are gone, but I got them reconnected. When the Naze is powered the STM gets hot, but the lights still function. When the receiver is connected and I try to arm the green light goes on and when I disarm it goe...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
That was probably me that you're thinking of! I agree, something else must have been wrong, but what it was IDK. and whadya know, I have another problem. Just got a minimOSD. Flashed it with the newest KV firmware. Got the pins for the RX/TX on the Naze. plugged everything in correctly with RX to TX...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Well I went with the wire wrap route 'cause I didn't see that. I also borrowed some nice bright pink nail polish to cover the trace after cleaning the area out.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
elmtree I had the same problem with the twitching outputs, checked the naze32 with a scope and found out that there's no jitter on the ppm input, but the motor outputs are jerking when the rx (hawkeye in my case) is close to the naze32. It seems the naze is getting swamped by RF interference from t...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Thats what everyone is doing, I don't even understand why you'd want it separate like that... wait i re-read your stuff again, why are you making shit too complicated? if you had a working board, plug in ESC, plug in receiver, don't plug in any other bec/crap, done. whats wrong with that setup? On ...

Nope. I made sure that if the ubec was connected then the ESCs were not. They aren't connected anymore unfortunately according to the multimeter. Well this is annoying...
Can I use an ESC BEC to power the receiver and another to power the board, or would that be bad?

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Well here's what I did today: First I reflashed the naze and the orangerx receiver and transmitter. I then connected 4 of the naze's plugs to the receiver. I turned it all on. It worked, but there was a tiny bit of jitter. This was powered by a 5v ubec to the receiver and plugged into usb. Then I tu...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
You *did* enable feature PPM right. That was my first thought also. Sadly, yes I did enable it (and disabled it when I tried without ppm) Maybe check the wiki @ m and update the firmware? Also try getting troubleshooting help on IRC freenode.net #OpenLRS I updated the firmware to the most recent ve...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Does the Rx work with other FCs in PPM mode? Because it sounds like you just didn't set it up for PPM properly. yeah, it works with the Crius AIOP perfectly. Also I connected the receiver with 4 channel wires instead of PPM and it did the same thing. EDIT: also while jumping around it kinda respond...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
I recently got the Naze32 and tried to use the orangeRX openLRS RX module with it. When using either PPM or normal connection to the receiver the values that the Naze32 sees on the RX jump around like crazy and eventually stop changing. I then tried a dsm2 receiver and it worked fine. Is this a know...
