i2c-GPS working with version 2.1 but not with 2.2
Hi, i have a Crius Multiwii Lite board and i am trying to make it fly with version 2.2 or 2.3 but it fails. Whenever i connect my Crius neo-6 gps over i2c nav to the board, the values in the GUI get crazy. The funny thing is that this happens only in version 2.2 and 2.3. With version 2.1 everything ...

Re: Icon in Gui not moving with Gyro only
But doesn't that mean, that there is no accelometer change, when i turn my Copter in the point where the acc-chip is? I mean, if i Roll, Pitch or yaw it.
There shouldn't be any G-Force to it when i just turn, right?

Re: Icon in Gui not moving with Gyro only
Hey, i think i understood it now. I thought that the accelerometer measures only the movement in x,y or z direction. But as i understand it, it measures also the gravity when not moving, right? That's why the copter knows it's current angle in space. Thank you very much for the explanation! Olaf Lik...

Re: Icon in Gui not moving with Gyro only
Is there someone there who could explain me this? I read about the Wii motion plus and about the nachchuck on the multiww page. Is it correct that: The WMP has three gyroscope inside. The Nanchuk has three gyroscope and three lateral acceleration sensors built in? I i have a WMP installed, the copte...

Re: Icon in Gui not moving with Gyro only
Ok, but i still don't understand. If i have a "Wii Motion Plus" and NO "Nanchuk" installed, what do i measure? I thought it is a Gyroscope which measures the change of the angle? Why is it not shown in the GUI? Olaf You can fly a copter with gyro only.. But without Accelerometer ...

Re: Icon in Gui not moving with Gyro only
I thought a Gyro is there for measure the Angle change per time?
And does it mean that i cannot fly a copter with a WMP only?

Gyro only senses motion.

Icon in Gui not moving with Gyro only
Hi,
i have a Gyro only setup and i get moving courves in the Gui when i move the Quad.
But the icon and the horizon does not move.
Is it a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Re: Default mode - why is it angle?
Hi,
i got it now. But it is surprising for me.
I needed to have the transmitter switched on. Not only the receiver needs to be on but also the transmitter.
It's surprising, because the shown Aux1-Value was 1500 also without the transmitter.
Anyway, now it works.
Have a nice day

Re: Default mode - why is it angle?
Hi,
meanwhile someone in another forum suggested, to set "angle" and "horizon" to "high".
Is that maybe the solution?
I will try this tonight.

Hi, i have a copter with MPU6050 only and i would lice to fly in ACRO mode. I have only an four chanel transmitter so there is no AUX1 or AUX2 ... Whenever is start MultiWii 2.3 and connect with my android or PC the mode is Angle, which i definitely don't want. Why is it so? How can i make the copte...

Using an Arduino Leonardo, wiring problem
Hi, until now i had a normal arduino Uno as a FC and it worked quite well. I patched my ESC to Simonk and wanted to use improved PWM now. therefore i exchanged my Arduino Uno with an Arduino Leonardo, and, voila, didn't work:-( After finding out tha I2C is now where throttle and a ESC was for 324P i...

Re: New PARIS v5 Mega Board
Why is it bad to use power from ESC?
Is it because the Controller will not work if the Lipo fails or gets exhausted? Or is there something else?

Re: Basic understanding, which motors have to run faster
I think, i know what happened and why our maiden fly was so hard. We were in Angle/Level/Stable/Whatever-Mode when we tried to make our first flight. And due to zero-knowledge we didn't regonize it... I have no idea how this could happen but now we switched it back to ARM-Mode. We built a new frame ...

Re: Basic understanding, which motors have to run faster
Wow! I made it. I flew. Fast. Very fast. And i made a Flip. Unintentionally! Haha! But it was really hard to control. Espeacially thrust was sensitive like hell. I flew some courves and far away and came back and then... crashed in the ground:-( But the ground was very soft and i only need to make a...

Re: Is it necessary to calibrate Simonk ESC? And if so, how?
But the i need to run the scetch with "define ESC_CALIB_CANNOT_FLY" once, don't i? You don't need to calibrate ESC's with simonk FW. Just set in config.h minthrottle to 1064 and maxthrottle to 1864. This values are coded by default in simonk. But if you wan't more power, then set maxthrott...

Is it necessary to calibrate Simonk ESC? And if so, how?
Hi,
i have a question regarding the calibration of Simonk flashed ESC.
Is it necessary to calibrate them like if they were not flashed with simonk?
And is it good to calibrate them with the special nofly multiwii scetch? Or should i calibrate it
directly with the receiver?

Re: Basic understanding, which motors have to run faster
It is not a sudden flip because i am not in the air yet:-) It is more a problem during lift off like with the behaviour of these guys' copter: m They found out that the orientation of the Gyro was wrong which is not my problem. It's probably also not a problem with the minthrottle, the motors turn v...

Re: Basic understanding, which motors have to run faster
Ok, Thanks. I tried and the behaviour of our copter is indeed like the one described on the page. Except for Mag, because wo don't have it yet. So the reason for the difiiculty is probably the PID-setting (and our cluelessness, of course:-) Are there any recomendations for absolute beginners just to...

Basic understanding, which motors have to run faster
Hi, we tried our first fligth with our DIY-Quadcopter. We made 2,5 meters but not for very long. The Copter flipped and fall down. Nothing was broken because we have nice snow here in bavaria:-) I tried to figure out what's wrong and unmounted the props at the desk and had a closer look at the confi...
