Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Hi CVMichael Juat a thorght may be your escs are not in balance ( not calibrated the same) this would probably cause yaw in high power situations? Actually they are calibrated: m First i did option #2, and the motors did not calibrate properly because they did not start at the same time, and then I...

I am using the October version also, and my quad keeps turning clockwise on the yaw axis when I move around, and I constantly ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Hi timecop, I had only 2 flights with the Naze32 so far with my new wood H-Quad that I built about 2 weeks ago, and I am still amazed how stable and easy it is to setup and fly it, so thank you for that I have a small problem though, and I don't know what settings to change to make it right. When I ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

OMG! You are right, both left side the motors were spinning in the opposite direction! I can't believe I checked the direction a few times, I every time I gave it a "pass"... I feel embarrassed for making such stupid mistakes But I am glad it's working! I am going out for some flying fun y...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Hi timecop, I tried today with +45 degrees, and the 3D model was way off, so -45 is the correct one... but it still does not work While I had my quad sitting on the table, and not moving, I noticed the 3D model was moving... the heading is changing is a sinusoidal way. I uploaded a video of the base...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Thanks for the reply! The 3d model shows correctly when I move the quad around with my hand, that's why I am confused on what is the problem... it's 12 midnight here now, I will try +45 tomorrow. Thanks again :)

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

I just built an H-quad, and I am using the AfroFlight Naze32 Acro from HobbyKing.com. The problem is that the quad spins to the right (clockwise) when I try to take off. The only thing that is unusual is that when I built the h-quad, I did not take into account the wires that come out of the Naze32 ...

I think I am using mwii 2.1, and wingui 2.2 (I am not at my computer to double check that)...

Do you have a link with the latest versions?

MultiWii with minim OSD v1.1

I got the MultiWii Pro, FatShark, and minim OSD, and I have no idea how to connect them! I did not see in the MultiWii config anything meaningful about OSD.

Does anyone know how to connect them? and what changes I have to make to the MultiWii software to enable the OSD?

Re: Throttle is too high?

Hi Andy, The problem was that whenever I was changing the MINTHROTTLE value it did not take the new value, it was taking the previous high value that was stored in the EEPROM. In normal flight mode, this was starting the motors at too high speed. When I finally figured out that it was taking the val...

Re: Throttle is too high?

Never mind, I figured it out! Apparently the first time you upload the MultiWii, it saves the MINTHROTTLE to the EEPROM, and if I change the value of the MINTHROTTLE, it won't matter at all because it will read it from EEPROM. The first value that was there was 1300, and that of course made the moto...

Re: Throttle is too high?

Today I calibrated all the ESCs by connecting each ESC one by one directly to the receiver, bypassing the MultiWii... When I have the throttle low, the motors are spinning slowly, but when I connected everything to the MultiWii, when I have the throttle low, the motors start fast and it takes off th...

Re: Throttle is too high?

I did calibrate the esc's, but I don't know if I did it correctly.... First of all, I have to plug the battery otherwise when I upload the code in the MultiWii I get an error, but I don't get an error if the battery is plugged in... So, I uncommented the line ESC_CALIB_CANNOT_FLY, uploaded, then it ...

Throttle is too high?

I have a Hexacopter, and when I set the stick to low then the motors are off, but when I move the throttle stick just a tiny bit, then the hexacopter already takes off the ground. I have to hold it with my hand so that it does not fly away... When I move the stick to all the way high, I don't see/he...

Error when uploading to MultiWii

I made changes to the config.h and then uploaded, and it worked fine. Then I realized that I did not plug the GPS in the board, and I wanted to disable the GPS for now and not use it... I modified the config.h and commented out the GPS defines, then I upload and got this error: Binary sketch size: 2...

Re: Can MultiWii PRO land safely with loss of one motor on a

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for your comments. I agree, theoretically, a hex should not fall out of the sky if it looses one motor/prop. This is something that the software should be able to detect. When a motor loss is detected, the 2 motors near it, should start spinning faster to keep th...

Can MultiWii PRO land safely with loss of one motor on a Hex

I ordered MultiWii PRO from HobbyKing (along with other parts to build a Hexacopter), and I was just wondering if something goes wrong with one of the motors (or propeller) during flight, will it just loose control and crash, or can it continue flying with the other 5 motors, and land safely? Theore...
