FTDI
I've got a new FTDI that worked once then no more .... wondered why m Found this.... "If you have a counterfeit chip and plug it into windows with the updated driver, your counterfeit chip will be bricked. Once bricked, you can NOT use it on OSX or Linux boxes. However, if you manually install ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Does this sound right ... I was making a frame with bent arms Will your frame be asymmetrical? If so, there are tools online to generate custom mixer parameters using the geometry. But that may be the extent of configurable options. As for angled motors... it'll make for interesting tuning... but s...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Hiway 5 days ago <-----Disco owner and flyer I am a big fan of TBS. I cannot jump in this though- I have no doubt it is fast- no doubt it is well engineered, and complete confidence it will be supported. I also am quite sure that most every other custom built mini hex like the RD290 or the Blackout...

Re: Naze32 Acro, Yaw problem.
Hi, So I have a problem with the Yaw. When I connect the FC to Baseflight the part that shows you the live direction of the FC it just spins very fast on the yaw axis. I then hooked everything up with props and went to take off and again it just wants to spin around and around. I have checked over ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
If your battery drops below 3.5V during high throttle, you've got other problems. Beeping wasn't naze, at least it doens't sound like it. Can I ask why? Um. Unless he's flying on 1S, 2S or 3S battery dropping below 3.5V total is probably not a very good idea. Just to clarify I fly with a 4s bat wha...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Hello everyone! I recently purchased a naze32 and I have everything working correctly on my quad except my yaw gyro is compensating the wrong way because I have the props rotating outwards instead of inwards. Correct me if I,m wrong but isn't this what I did by having all my motors spinning opposit...

I think your motors aren't turning in the right direction Roeland54 you are 100% correct I must have read the manual 20 times and just not clicked thanks very much for taking the time to look I'm one happy camper now. Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Cheaper more flexible props will produce more vibrations that will negatively effect sensors on your flight controller. Dialing back the P value on pitch and roll will help compensate but the multirotor wont fly as well. The HQ props are much better than the gemfans in my experience. I guess this i...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
OK I'm getting the hang of this pid tuning and it's flying now and dam is it smooth
, the yaw is still really sensitive and I can still get a rate of spin that can exceed 1 a second.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
I'd say upgrade to r429 wiping all flash and try it there, but there was only one yaw-related bug and that was introduced w/sensor axis realignment so.. you shouldn't be seeing that. But anyway, try r429 instead. Thank's was fun finding r429 I ended up copy pasting the hex i found at afro devices/S...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Thats what the rate next to PID for Yaw is. Making it larger makes the quad spin faster. A lot faster. It's the fast bit I can't slow down! looks like a UFO so I turn the P and I down to 0 with no real effect I,m using version 5 with baseflight-20130719 it's like yaw is on steroids? strait flight u...
