Re: Direct Frsky telemtry data from MW FC
Why do we need a hardware converter for frsky telemetry on a multiwii, when cleanflight/naze32 seems to do it with no additional hardware? Does it have something to do with the "old" telemetry used in the D4R/D8R vs new in the X series? Id be happy with support for the old ones without nee...

hello, i am new to cleanflight, and did put the filmware yesterday on my naze32 acro board. tonight i did try to do autotune with the standard pid settings to start with. so i put it in angle and in hoover. then directly he do a few roll movements, and my quadx drops out the sky. is this autotune s...

Re: Cleanflight aka Multiwii port to STM32 F10x and F30x
I was playing with the RSSI_ADC feature (using D4R-II, RSSI connected to chan 2), and Im afraid its all but useless. The values dance between 95 and 100% when actual RSSI is between 60 and 100+db. If RSSI drops further, the values begin to swing rapidly and enormously from like 60 to 100%. Even afte...

Re: Cleanflight aka Multiwii port to STM32 F10x and F30x
Decided to try the autotune feature. It seems to work, but there is one thing I dont quite understand. Im using an acro naze, and Im not sure how the quad is attempting to maintain its altitude. Its climbing during the tuning and since I was doing this line of sight, I quickly risked it getting too ...

Acro mode. But I seem to have solved it. Cleanflight + 5x4 props + increased I factor on pitch seems to have cured it. Probably the I factor mostly.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
As it turns out, my gyro's are fine. I did another testflight today, with different firmware (cleanflight), different props (5x4 instead of 5x3) and higher Integral values for pitch. And the result was a near flawless quad. Ive not yet determined which of those factors contributed most, but I do not...

UNfortunately, I destroyed a motor, so now I cant test if it works with baseflight too, thereby identifying either the board or the firmware...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
Im looking at the raw sensor data tab right now. The X axis is showing a steady 0. The Y axis (which responds to pitch on my quad), is alternating quickly between -0.24 and 0. The Z axis is a steady -0.24. Does that sound about normal? 0.24 degree per second doesnt sound like it would cause problems...

acro mode is gyro only. Thats what you'd think; but for instance if you enable throttle angle correction, then it no longer is; then even in acro mode the acc is being used. I tried this out yesterday, with mixed results. I tried the FPV settings (+40 / 450). A few times I was at such very steep angle in acro mode, I wanted to bring the nose bac...

Feature request. Would love to see Cleanflight implement mixers like OpenAeroVTOL for KK boards. The idea is that you could use the board for hybrid VTOL craft, and transition between hoover and forward flight. In my case, a tricopter with two servo's that will morph in to a flying wing (two servo's...

I have pretty much the opposite problem. Its not always the same motor, so I doubt its a wiring issue. Here is one such ...

Having a weird issue. When I disarm, or try to disarm, by pulling the throttle/rudder in the corner, my controller will not always disarm (may have to try once or twice), but when I hold the stick there for 2 seconds or so, it enables Angle (stable) mode, thereby throtteling up briefly!
