Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
I think the issue is the max chip needs a full 5v to operate, but the atmega starts working before the Max chip is ready. There is a default of 1 sec delay. In bad case maybe it needs longer, but that is still hell of a time to get to full volts. Maybe there is another issue not identified. For my ...

@fastrack stop timer on zero throttle - whats the requirement to have this instead of stopping when disarmed? It possible with code hack of course. battery low flash warning - added to wish list. Prob next release Power up issues... maybe try this in config.h //#define STARTUPDELAY 2000 // Enable a...

Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
Hey! I finally had a flight after suspending my quad and with an amp meter attached. I had a full flight... 4705mA drained from the pack on the OSD and my charger put 4628mA back in! Woohoo... I'm very impressed. Few questions:- - Is there anyway to stop the flight timer if the throttle is at 0%? - ...

Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
@chilau - no sorry it relies upon the mag data from the FC. @fastrack - probably overthinking it a bit! Alll need to do is adjust the OSD so the the OSD displays the same as the amp meter at somewhere around the hover point. Its an approximation so not going to be as good as a hardware sensor. That...

Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
So I tethered my quad in door frame that's 4' wide. - Using the OSD throttle @ 50%, I got 17.35A - I disconnected the OSD and hooked up bluetooth.. @ 1500 pwm in MultiWiiConf, I got 18.35A - Switched back to the OSD and saw 17.17A to get 18.35A I had raise the throttle to 55% Since I can't see the M...

Question: How do you do the virtual current sensor cal? m -=dave Thanks Dave, I saw/read that link I was more wondering "the method" people use to do this once it's connected inline! Question: How do you do the virtual current sensor cal? Do you just mount a current meter, hover at a safe...

Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
@fastrack - thats really interesting feedback. What you describe with CRT/LCD directly relates to what I suspected - not detecting every other interlacing frames. Cuts line thickness in half + effect of 50% brightness. Just to confirm - is that setting on the camera?? if so can you describe where? ...

Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
@ Fastrack. good to figure out the issue. a few have been caught with that one! For the dim characters I am not aware of a fix for that yet. I think I understand the issue. Pretty sure that its ignoring start of new frame so only every other frame shows the image. Therefore its running at 50% brigh...

Re: MultiWii OSD - MWOSD
Corrupt characters.. with 1.1 and 1.2pre3. I did a EEPROM clear with 1024 bytes before each (Which now I know doesn't have anything to do with the max7456 chip). First thing is I upload the font file. I'm using the Minimosd from witespy. Connected to the Multiwii (running 2.3) I see corrupt characte...

Re: Switching from horizon/level to acro causes hard pitch/r
So I just hooked it up... The 1535 I was remembering was when the C/g was wrong. The values I have now are: ROLL - 1494 PITCH - 1502 Which makes sense.. as my trims are a few clicks forward on pitch and a few clicks to the left on roll. It rolls to right and forward when switching.......... I guess ...

Re: Switching from horizon/level to acro causes hard pitch/r
Hey Walt The 1535 could be when I had my c/g wrong... I've seen so many numbers I confuse myself,. Lol. But it's after acro tuning though. I made sure the c/g was correct when I did the second tuning... by building a jig and balancing it on 2 framing nails, nailed through a 3/4" piece of plywoo...

Switching from horizon/level to acro causes hard pitch/roll
Hi all, First quad... I have a multiwii ez black 3.0 from witespy with the external mag/gps. I tuned the sub trims on my taranis to 1000/1500/2000 and have a deadband of 4 as the taranis seems to be +\- 3 or 4 in the center. I plugged in my battery with my quad on a 100% level surface... Then calibr...

Re: Altitude Hold/Advanced Failsafe solutions by NHA
At this point I have RTH triggered via my receiver failsafe. I also have the built in crappy multiwii failsafe enabled incase the receiver bites the dust or gets disconnected. However this method sounds amazing. Has worked stopped on it since the release of 2.3? It kinda looks like people have moved...

Re: MultiWii EZ-GUI
Hey Bart,
I have an iPad and crappy Pay as you go phone... What version of Android does this require? Some points on Google Play you say 2.2 others (including this thread) you say > 3.1
I'm thinking of picking up a cheap used phone like an S2 to run this...
Thanks,
Ben

Re: Direct Frsky telemtry data from MW FC
hi all, just want to give this thread the drop on something soon to be released. m does the opposite of this thread, takes smart port sensor data and shows it in the osd also as a sub point, it should be pointed out that the s.port vario sensor also doubles as a connector between hubbed and hubless...

Re: Direct Frsky telemtry data from MW FC
Long time, stuff got in the way. So I haven't posted I a long time. Getting back to my quad build.
I've read over what I missed and it seems telemetry is still not working on SPORT or Smart Port on the X8R. I also have a D8r, but would rather use the X8R.

Re: Direct Frsky telemtry data from MW FC
Well it seems the new radio (Taranis) I was about to order comes with a an X8R receiver and it no longer has Analog or Digital input only a new port called a "SmartPort". So both this and the jdrones jd IO-board are out of the question to feed it telemetry data! So I'll have to order a D8R...

Re: Direct Frsky telemtry data from MW FC
That's explained in the file "config.h": /* for V BAT monitoring after the resistor divisor we should get [0V;5V]->[0;1023] on analog V_BATPIN with R1 and R2 vbat = [0;1023]*16/VBATSCALE must be associated with #define BUZZER ! */ Thus, you have to choose VBATSCALE in a way that a battery...

Re: Direct Frsky telemtry data from MW FC
How does the amp sensor you posted a link to from RCTimer connect to the Multiwii? The current sensor at m does have a GND pin, a voltage pin, and a current pin. The Gnd pin has to be connected to the multiwii board Gnd. The voltage pin has to be connected to A0, in order to make it work you have t...

Re: Direct Frsky telemtry data from MW FC
Hi, I'm building my first quad.. I'm going with a witespy multiwii ez3. I was going to get a OrangeRX module/receiver for the 9xr until I read about signal quality issues. So I decided to go with Frsky..! I've read this entire thread... I can't wait to try this. I'm getting a 9xr. Any idea what happ...
