Re: Multiwii FC Boards can't upload sketch

Make sure you unplug all serial devices with two way communication, especially bluetooth adapters from the fc.

Re: Qt Project

Oh my G.., someone has already done most of the work: m Looks awesome! Did you use your pi on the field already? How did you power it? A 5v BEC from the 12v video circuit should work on the usb port i think. The great thing is that the video out can be easily plugged into fpv monitors. Maybe we can...

Re: Qt Project

I agree with you, but i'm pretty sure the main reason its slow is not java but these two things: -Serial communication loop which runs several times a second -Drawing the sensor chart and data Sure, you wont have that much overhead if you're not using Java or .NET but QT4 is primarily designed for c...

Re: Qt Project

Do you want to focus on specific parts or do you want to create a multipurpose gui? I think the configuration part is pretty well made with MultiWiiConf but i realtime flight and sensor application would be great, especially with nav waypoints coming. Thats the reason i was thinking something like k...

Re: Qt Project

I would be interested in helping out with a crossplattform gui, although i never really worked with qt. Have you considered using kivy and python? Would support android and iOS, although i don't know how stable it is.

Re: mid flight FC fail

What kind of FC do you use? I had the same thing happen and switched to a different bec thats rated at 5.3V. Haven't had it happen since then and i've flown quite a few times.

Re: wishlist for v2.3

How about a HEAD_FIRST mode? Instead of Headfree where the head is always pointing in the same direction it would turn towards where it is flying. Yaw stick controls heading like headfree but pitch and roll would be relative to flight direction. I think it would be more intuitive to fly than headfre...

Re: QuadCopter Falls from sky.

Same thing happened to me twice with AIO Pro v2 which also has an Atmega2560 like the Whitespy. Board is powered with a 5A 5V UBEC. I've read elsewhere that the 2560 is very sensitive to input voltage and fails if it drops below 5v. I have a 5.3V UBEC on another quad and will swap it out with this o...

Re: Request for yaw test on r1539

does anyone have any tips for me to get the yaw servo to work on this version? It is completely dead Crius AIO Pro v2. I did all the same settings on the earlier versions that worked. I believe the motor pinout changed sometime between release 2.1 and 2.2 although i don't know where this is documen...

Re: V2.2 - ACRO PID implementation is wrong, right?

Thanks Sergioc, i tested your code without props and it seems to work fine. I'm also arming with AUX for safe measures. I will fly tonight to see if everything is working well.

Re: V2.2 - ACRO PID implementation is wrong, right?

I was trying to get the r1514 to work with the new algorithm, i just changed this line in the config:

Code: Select all

#define PID_CONTROLLER 2

I get very high values on two motors, looks like some issue with yaw? Did i miss anything? Board is a Crius SE v2.

Multiplatform GPS Navigation / Waypointing GUI

Hi, Starting another GUI project seems a bit stupid since there are about 5 different projects under way, but i would like to start a discussion for a GUI implementation for GPS and waypointing. The main problem at the moment is that development is centered around the WinGui which is of course platf...

Re: Multiwii 2.2 - GPS hold

Some observations after more testflight with the settings posted above. I'm mainly focused on rth instead of position hold. Safety RTH still works 100% of the time, even with a small number of satellite locks and activated in-flight while the copter isn't necessary stabilized. This is awesome as a s...

Re: Low vibrations copters for AP/Video (props, dampening...

Here is a setup of mine that gives a pretty solid video with a gopro, even with unbalanced props and motors! -DJI f450 frame (dont buy clones, they are mostly cheap plastic) -Emax GT2210 -8 x 4.5 Props Strap the gopro on top of the lipo and you get something like this: [youtube]http://www.youtube.co...

Re: Multiwii 2.2 - GPS hold

I got RTH working perfectly with AIO Pro, u-blox NEO-6M and MW 2.2. I always had drifting issues in the past, with these settings it works everytime. Here is a short manual: -Connect the GPS module to ublox u-center with a ftdi adapter -Change baud rate to 115200 and update rate to 5hz -Make sure th...

Nice work! I really like the support for multiple protocols and different servo configurations. I'm trying to get it running with a nokia 5510 lcd instead of the LCD03 because i have nokia lcd here. Maybe we can do some fancy stuff with the graphics library and the lcd, like direction indicators, ma...

Re: mobiDrone nano arduino OSD for MultiWii with PID config

If anyone wants to build the osd until the boards from michal are back in stock, its possible to build it with this atmega238 board: m You can spare some components if you use this instead of using an atmega alone, and you can flash it comfortably over usb. I managed to put it on a solder board abou...
