Not sure its the most practical aircraft but I sure admire the engineering that went into getting that to work.

Re: S BUS connection
I'm using a Flip32 and wanted to connect the FrSky X4R via S.Bus. Which input is the correct one to use? I've been digging but haven't found a diagram showing how to connect S.Bus I know MultiWii 2.3 originally had an issue with the 9ms updates from the FrSky receivers, is this already addressed in ...

Re: Cleanflight aka Multiwii port to STM32 F10x and F30x
I have not used the new sliders yet but I like the concept. Some of us have radios with 6 position switches and the like and want to be able to use the full capabilities. I don't want to go back to the limited world of 3 checkboxes on aux channels. It does not seem that anyone is against someone cod...

Re: I cant connect with GUI
Another thing to check, does Windows Device Manager see your board on the USB Hub?
If your board shows up as unknown device, you may need to istall the FTDI drivers, if it does not show up at all you may have a "charge only" usb cable.

Re: I cant connect with GUI
Did you load the MultiWii firmware onto the board?
It looks like you setup the com port but thae software is not talking back. When you clicked on Start the MultiWii version should have updated with the version you loaded onto the board.

Re: Need help, PC cant detect Naze32
Check your USB cable. I had a similar problem with a Flip Pro not being detected and it turned out the USB cable was only good for charging. As soon as I switched to a better cable the board shipped up and I could install the drivers.

Re: Installation Issue
You should not have to do this but make sure you have the path to the actual JRE in your %path%, the shortcuts created by the installer will not allow the GUI to start properly. I'm using the 8u25 64-bit version of the JRE without any issues but I'm on Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it will be preloaded with the other 32-bit port that is not harakiri. So yes an exorcism will be required upon arrival.

Re: Cleanflight aka Multiwii port to STM32 F10x and F30x
About to join you all in the 32-bit world. Have a Flip32+ on its way. I assume I just need to download the latest Chrome browser for Windows 7 in order to use the configuration utility. Anything I need to know flashing cleanflight onto the board when it arrives? I'm setup to flash the Atmega based b...

Re: MultiWii Conf 2.3 and Java startup problem
Got it working finally. My path was set by the installer to the hidden folder "C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\javapath" which contains shortcuts to the actual install location "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin". Even though the shortcuts were correct MultiWii Conf would not star...

MultiWii Conf 2.3 and Java startup problem
When I try to start MultiWii Conf, I get a "Cannot find javaw" and ShellExecuteEX error on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 I've checked the path as suggested and it is correctly pointing the the directory containing both java.exe and javaw.exe. I can execute java -version and get the correct ver...

Re: SBus connection on Atmega2560
I just setup my X4R with one ofd those to the Flip Pro 32u4 based FC, worked great. I did have to use the DEV 1648 branch to get the S.Bus values to stabilize. Watch out for that, I remember reading the FrSky sends packets at 9ms and the baseline 2.3 code had to be adjusted to sync properly.

Re: Flip Pro and SBUS
Got my Flip Pro working with S.Bus. You need an inverter cable then connect signal to RX1. I used the Raw input so the onboard reg supply's 5V to the Receiver via VCC and Ground. Had to go to 2.3 - 1648 to get S.Bus values to be stable with FrSky X4R

Thanks. I found a Pro Mini which is a 2560 in the 50x50 format that should work.
Just have to decide between that or the Quanton (32-bit) boards.

Bluetooth / OSD / SBUS / FrSky Telemetry
If I use a Mega Pro or Quanton would I be able to use these
- Bluetooth
- OSD
- SBUS
- FrSky Telemetry (when SPort available)
At the same time, since they both have multiple serial ports available.

Re: Flip Pro and SBUS
Thanks. In that case I'll get a SBUS to CPPM converter or switch to a D Series receiver which might be a better option so I can have Telemetry.
Is there a board that can do Bluetooth and SBUS at the same time? A Mega or STM perhaps.

Re: New Multiwii Serial Protocol
I was searching all day for this info and then just randomly stumbled on it tonight. This is cool. I discovered Red Bear Lab makes an Arduino BT 4.0 interface that works with iOS Core Bluetooth without having to jump through the Apple MFI hoops. Kinda hoping either I or some other industrious iPad/i...

Re: MultiWii Serial Protocol help...
I've been searching but can't find info on the protocol used for the Configuration program to talk to the MultiWii board. Red Bear Lab makes a Bluetooth 4.0 module that can communicate between Arduino and iOS devices supporting Bluetooth 4.0. Bypasses the need for an MFI membership and all the troub...

Not the same board as mine but I'm beginning to believe its a faulty one. Mine is the 328 with FTDI and DSM2 model. Got it before I knew better. Re: part selection help
Have you considered something small to start out with?
BlueSkyRC makes a nice mini plywood frame for $10.
Flyduino makes a cooler Carbon Frame that integrates with their NanoWii. They have a video of Warthox flying that thing like I can only wish I could do.

Re: MultiWii config on MacOS 10.8.2 no joy
Got a little further with r1342 on the Mac Mini, I at least get the screen now but it still isn't seeing the board. BTW had to install a FTDI driver to get a COM port to show up (don't have a BT module which were the only other options). Checked Java version and its 1.6.0_37 The board is blinking a ...

Re: MultiWii config on MacOS 10.8.2 no joy
I'm wondering if I'm just missing a piece of the puzzle. I downloaded the latest Arduino IDE and as far as I can tell it compiles and downloads code (Version 2.1) into the board. I have the MultiWii (Version 2.1) that was included in the code I compiled and downloaded into the board. Still get blank...

Just tried it in Windows 7 using Parallels and I get a screen but it looks like its not seeing the board because firmware reads V0 Tried downloading the 2.1 firmware onto the board and as best I can tell Arduino IDE downloaded it (no errors). Version still reads V0, only other data point I have is t...

MultiWii config on MacOS 10.8.2 no joy
Let start off by saying I did some searches and couldn't find any help for what I'm seeing. I'm using a HobbyKing 328 board with FTDI. I downloaded the 2.1 software from their site and when I run the MultiWii Configuration software) for the Mac all I get is a blank screen. The only menu option I get...
