Re: Sketch 2.4 is 72 Bytes to large

We don't have a LED Display Next try. The Board only allows 60.000 characters. In some parts I deleted not relevant lines marked by (....): #ifndef CONFIG_H_ #define CONFIG_H_ (.....) /**************** SECTION 1 - BASIC SETUP *******/ /************************** The type of multicopter *************...

Sketch 2.4 is 72 Bytes to large

Hallo, we have upgraded from MW 2.2 to 2.4, but the sketch ist 72 Bytes to large to upload it to the FC (HK_MultiWii_SE_V2). We have a Hexacopter (Y6) with GPS. Nothing special at all. In Future we need only one servo for the camera tilt. This is at the moment commented out and the sketch ist still ...

Re: Autonomous Multiwii Quadrocopter with Raspberry Pi

Thank you very much for that post. Indeed it's very helpful! The idea to control speed or position-hold over optical flow is very nice. The video is impressive! But the "aparat.com" site took very long to load it...?!? And the information, that you can transfer 75 fps with 160x120 px over ...

Re: Autonomous Multiwii Quadrocopter with Raspberry Pi

If we do a recap ... you attached a raspberry pi and a usb camera onto a multuiwii quad to stream video over wifi ? The power of the Raspberry Pi is far away from calculation images in realtime . We have problems only to make videos with a USB web cam and save it to the onboard SDcard. one hub only...

Re: Autonomous Multiwii Quadrocopter with Raspberry Pi

We have problems only to make videos with a USB web cam and save it to the onboard SDcard. Have you tried the Pi camera module instead of USB cam ? I guess that will work much better... No we didn't try that, because the goal is to use a stereo-cam (two cams). The Pi can only handle one camera modu...

Re: Autonomous Multiwii Quadrocopter with Raspberry Pi

@ Balto: Not yet. Project Update: The power of the Raspberry Pi is far away from calculation images in realtime. We have problems only to make videos with a USB web cam and save it to the onboard SDcard. Now we work with the ODROID U2. It's a 4-core 1,7 GHz ARM processor and smaler then the Raspberr...

Hexacopter Atmega 328p and Camera Tilt

Hi, it's me again. Now I connected the camera tilt servo and activated in the sketch. The camera servo is digital and has a own BEC. And the FC crashes again after a few seconds. It dosen't matter if the servo refesh rate is 50, 160 or 300 Hz. I read somewhere in the net, that the 328p is not able t...

Re: Problem: Sensor spikes when battery is connected

Thanks for your answer. I would try using another ESCs’ BEC to rule out the BEC your using now. I tried a second BEC. With the same result. 1: MAG Z axis should positive while at rest, I think this comes from the uncalibrated mag. I upladed a 100-times the sketch and dont't want to calibrate the mag...

Re: Falls out of the air?

Maybe I have the same problem. sometimes the FC comes on again and sometimes the FC goes down completly and the ESCs begin to beep. Sometimes there are spikes in the sensorvalues every few seconds. If I uploaded the sketch new, the copter is first fine and and crashes after roundabout 3 minutes. If ...

Problem: Sensor spikes when battery is connected (solved)

Hi, when I connect the battery, I have every few secondes heavy spikes in the sensors readings and after 30 sek.to 3 min. the FC crashes. If I only power the FC via the FTDI everything is fine. The FC is a Crius SE V2.0 and already worked very good in a quadrocopter and is now buid into a hexacopter...

MWC MultiWii SE FC V2.0 - logic level converter and LDO

The new MWC SE FC has two new features: - Separate 3.3V and 5V LDO voltage regulator - On board logic level converter I know that the serial RX/TX of the older MWC SE FC work normaly with 5V and you have to use a extern logic level converter (LLC) if you want to connect the FC by serial e.g. with th...

Re: Autonomous Multiwii Quadrocopter with Raspberry Pi

@PatrikE Kinect don't work outdoor at day. The Kinect IR Laser only have 1mW and the IR light from the sun is too heavy. An other reason we use stereocams instead off sonar, laser or radar is, I'm interested in human perception. Take a look at TPLINK WR703N. It's a WiFi 802.11n router with a serial ...

Re: Autonomous Multiwii Quadrocopter with Raspberry Pi

@ Hamburger Yes of course we'll keep you updated. For the higher functions we planed to use ROS, the robot operating system. This can calculate 3D images/video from the two cameras. We are not sure if the 750 MHz from the Radpberry are fast enough for this in realtime or we have to stream the videos...
