Re: Unstable when YAWing

To satisfy myself, I took my Quad and laptop outside away from anything metal and recalibrated my MAG. I also checked that the readings were correct and seems fine. I take off to about waist height, and give the YAW a little nudge and it slowly turns both ways. But if I give the YAW a larger input, ...

Unstable when YAWing

I've got my quad fairly well set up now and it's flying quite well, but I'm having trouble with getting a nice clean YAW. When I attempt to YAW, rather than spinning on the spot, or even ROUGHLY on the spot, it gains or loses altitude and veers off. I can make little YAW corrections when I'm flyign ...

Re: Help: Falls over before takeoff

Not seeing any data coming through on the gyro in the GUI shots, it's just 0,0,0 whereas you're getting healthy data and a little noise on the other sensors.
Also, the 3D model to the right is showing flipped upside down.

Looks fishy to me.

Re: Help: Falls over before takeoff

I notice that it flips to different sides each time, so maybe not a bad ESC, motor, prop. The flip looks pretty deliberate on the part of MW so something must be wrong in the config.

Did you try taking off in acro mode to eliminate any levelling errors?

There's. Lot of spinning going on there too.
I found that mine would to that when my motors weren't properly square to the frame, particularly the motor mounts used to rotate on the CF tubes of my talon frame.
That's now nicely fixed and my yaw is all under control.
