Re: Heading orientation 90 degrees off
well done, sounds like you been busy, and it does sound like interference, if you get totally beat you could look into a external i2c compass module to give it some space, or maybe vertical shielding I just got myself a Phanton as well, to compare the performance. What I noticed on the Phantom is a...

Re: Heading orientation 90 degrees off
maybe you need to re/callibrate your mag sensor I have tried many calibrations of the mag sensor, though I think I have found the cause of the problem. It was due to an older version of MultiWii, V2.1, which HobbyKing announces and recommends for their 328P board. The only mistake in this version i...

Heading orientation 90 degrees off
Hi. I am struggling getting my latest GPS setup (Ublox 6M with I2C nav board) together with the HobbyKing MultiWii 328P board in QuadX mode. The quadcopter tends to try and move in a completely other way when GPS HOLD is being enabled. I have done a lot of checks and just realised that the Heading/O...

I understood that I could combine the ESC's, having some OPTO and a single with BEC? No?

Re: New quad, repetitive crash issues + GPS PosH question
The board is being powered from the BEC inside the Multistar with BEC, thru the servo cable. Shouldn't this be OK?s It should be OK if you don't have problems that show otherwise. Currently that's how I am powering my FC but it's not the best way, I am considering using a separated BEC just for the...

Re: New quad, repetitive crash issues + GPS PosH question
Does this scenario ring any bells? Because right now I am not very confident in my quad so I can't really explore all the hopefully great fly performance PS. I have tested for any MINTHROTTLE issues and that doesn't seem to be the case, as I can't get it to happen by shaking/tilting the quad with l...

New quad, repetitive crash issues + GPS PosH question
Hi all MultiWii folks. Just assembled my second quadcopter, this time with the Q450 frame from Hobbyking together with their 328P MultiWii board. My other one is a QAV500 frame with the Naze32 controller which is flying great The reason for making this post is to clarify some questions regarding dif...

If not this sounds like power cut-off from ESC's when power is to low.
you stated that you have flown for 15 to 20 minutes
No I don't. It is stock Turnigy Plush 30A.
Might be the case, as I don't have any Vbat alarm soldered to the Naze32 board yet.

Sudden motor failure
I have had quite a few good flights with the Naze32 board and the latest baseflight version until now. Unfortunately something strange happened in the end of an otherwise good flight. After having flown about 15-20 minutes all the motors suddenly stop working and the Quadcopter falls to the ground. ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
I have flashed the latest version (231) and used the real Java GUI where I enabled the Level mode.
Now levelling works as supposed and it flies great
Thanks timecop for a great board and a good port.
And definitely also a big thanks to the MultiWii developers and community.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
mw-wingui uses hardcoded mode names. since angle + horizon was added, it no longer works properly (I think level in mwgui enables horizon). so you're seeing exactly what you are seeing. So do you have any other GUI recommendations, now when the mw-wingui doesn't work with the latest firmware? What ...

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread
@ Thomas: my r231 from m / m leveles: m . Hmm wierd. I have just been told that it might have something to do with some "binding"? Do the level feature have to be binded to anything? I'm using the "mw-wingui" where I can't find anything specific about this procedure? As I can't ...

r231 SVN release, Level issue
Hi. I just received one of the Naze32/AfroFlight32 boards and initially flashed it with the most recent version of firmware - r231 from SVN. When flashed to the board I can see both Gyro, Accelerometer and Barometer sensor data inside the GUI and I was able to tune the PID variables for Acro mode wi...
