Just as an update, i recently removed the end point adjustment from my code, i have a sneaking felling it was causing drift in my copter.

If im not mistaken the reason for only connecting one esc to power the arduino is a safety issue. Having multiple power supplies connected together can lead to problems with voltage difference across the escs, one esc trying to power another one, possible ground loop or similar effect maybe?? just fired up the old tri in the lounge with the new dev and it works really well. both acro and stable mode look promising. its really windy outside so i cant test fully but the next time its fine ill try some aggressive and fast flying to see if it holds up.

the trim is relitve to gravity, and thus level ground. I had the idea of putting the level out of a cheap spirit level on each of the booms. so i knw my copter is sitting dead level when i power it on and know my trims will be pretty dam close to perfect every time.

stable or level mode uses an accelerometer (ACC) in conjunction with the gyro to keep the multicopter level when there is no control input. contorls are best disscribed as angles, so the angle of the stick is relative to the angle of the copter. acro mode only needs a gyro and is more like flying an...

Yea 1.3 is far nicer to look at as far as layed out-commented-completed code goes.
No wiki as of yet, there is the wiki built in to Google code but i don't think its that amazing purely because I don't see it used.

I hope the Corona module doesn't take forever to get to you.

I'm not sure what you mean by dots but it doesn't matter if the motor faces up or down the prop always faces forwards. On the prop there should be writing saying width and pitch, this writing should be facing the direction you want to go, in the case up.

the smaller props have less mess, so don't have as stronger force at keeping the copter level. all my settings a default. It would be interesting to test the amount of thrust you produce with each different prop set. i normally just mount my props upside down, reverse my motor direction and power it...

your setup seems very similar to mine. motors are the same weight and with 100kv, i use similar size battery and 10amp esc. in relation to that youtube video. I have that issue with my big tri. The issue is currently tabled atm but when i have some free time i was going to try and sort it out. In my case it is as if one motor stalls basically, then flips and crash. Be interesting if you find a solution.

I've checked two things, port everything to 1.8p1, but this not solve the problem, and then I set I=0 for Level and now everything is OK. No problem with drift. But what for is I for level ? i just uploaded 1.81 to my board and although my acc still reads 196, hovering in the lounge seems ok. I did remove the 100g of fpv gear and i think the reduction in weight made it more twitchy then normal. I Tweaked the level pids and managed to make the correction time lower so im happy with that,...

So I got a chance to test out all the advice i have been getting and wooow some very interesting results. This problem sounds familiar, well problem 2 does anyway. Do you have a common ground between all your components, its sounds to me as if your Rx and arduino don't have a common ground.
