on my computer (Win Vista 64bit) i had sometimes with crashing GUI, just displaying grey after some time and java.exe needs much cpu power. With GUI from r949 everything works great. Re: Tricopter Flipping Out on 1.8 Help please

I had too a problem with my qaud with v1.8, which resulted in a bad crash. I was flying FPV with the quad almost full throttle forward and suddenly all motors looses power and the quad rolled slowly forward and crashed at full speed into the ground. I am using 4x 25A Plush ESCs and had no problems w...

Problem with Hexa X Copter and head holding mode

Hi, i am still having problems with my Hexa X Copter. I use the following combination: Jussi shield v1.11 original WiiM+ BMA020 BMP085 HMC5883 software dev20110529 (but same problem with v1.7) The problem is, that the head holding mode does not work like it should. It does something similar to level...

Re: need help with hmc5883

my HC5883 does work now with the newest dev.
I had to change sensor values to:
#define MAG_ORIENTATION(X, Y, Z) {magADC[ROLL] = Y; magADC[PITCH] = -X; magADC[YAW] = Z;}

Re: BMP085

The Plejad Celaeno Copter does use the BMP085 too. I haven't tested it, but i hope i can do it at the weekend. One important thing, which is in the manual of the Celaneo Copter is, that the sensor should be mounted with some foam material and dark heatshrink. 1. to reduce wind effects of props. 2. t...

Re: power meter for 1prebis7 - beta testers wanted

I would say, just use the mAh.
If you attach LCD after a short flight, you will see mAh and not a abstract number, where you have to do the math again in your head. ;)

Re: need help with hmc5883

I have now installed the HMC5883 too on my Jussi shield. I am using now: original WM+ BMA020 BMP085 + HMC5883 + LLC it looks like this now: IMGP4172.JPG IMGP4169.JPG IMGP4163.JPG completely sealed with Plasti Dip, liquid plastic, so its 100% waterproof, except the baro hole. Mag indicator does follo...

Re: Ground loops when connecting several grounds from the BE

Thats the way, you should connect if you want to use the ESCs BEC.

But i don't recommend that and a 5V BEC too.

We need clean 5,0V for the whole system, the its time for a L7805 or a Recom5V.
or we use voltage directly to raw of the arduino, but than something between 7 and 12V

Re: Motor/IMU/etc issue

everything okay.
Thats because of small errors, which are integrated more and more, because your copter does not move.
I=0 = no error up integration.

In the air, you won't have a problem with that.

Re: Ground loops when connecting several grounds from the BE

ESC can burn, ground loops can cause flips, ..... And i think ziss_dm, has something miss read in Berkelys post, because only "one" ground to the flight control is absolutely right. As a small addition. Using the ESCs BEC or an external BEC is both not that best solution for our Wii boards...

Re: Lost Model Buzzer indicator

good idea.

I am using this buzzer:
https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/sto ... duct=14521
The advantage of this buzzer is, that it beeps immediately, when its activated. (separate channel required)
So i set failsafe for the buzzer to beep.
If i get a short failsafe in the air, it immediately beeps and tells me, that something is wrong.

Re: v1.7 - possible mod for free telemetry over BT with LCD

wow, really nice.
So currently we have just to connect the Textstar LCD with 4 wires( VCC,TX,RX,GND) with the arduino and define it in the code and it works?

So i just need to buy that Textstar LCD?

Re: Big problem with 3 MWCs and v1.6

I have already solved the problem:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost ... tcount=601

also posted in the rcgroups Wii Mega thread and in Jussis shield thread.
I think he is considering now, to add a dedicated voltage regulator as i did with his board.

Re: Big problem with 3 MWCs and v1.6

Yes, i was wondering to about that voltage input range.

I have a external lipo saver too onboard, but since i have the buzzer connected (which is great for ACC trimming, or general feedback of the copter), i used it for voltage alarm too. (bad mistake, because thats why my Copter is dead. R.I.P. )

Okay, thanks for the detailed explanation. Mh. I don't know if this was the reason for my last crash with my Multi Wii Copter. Re: Big problem with 3 MWCs and v1.6

I am interested to understand the problem completely.
You used the VCC pin on the arduino for powering your sensors?

Maybe a second question about the arduino:
VCC and D12 have the same voltage, but D12 can be reset by the arduino?
So they are both regulated from "raw".

I have written the text and Heiko made the photos. There are still many photos missing, but they will be updated day by day. Its ...

mh, someone on rcgroups has posted, that something is not connected corretly:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost ... count=1441

He missed the trace to PIN4 on the 5883L compass. The SETP/SETC capacitor connects through a via as well.

something similar like the Jussi sensor board.

your link is not working, here is the right one:
http://cgi.ebay.at/HMC5883-BMA180-BMP08 ... 2a0f46baa2

does it work directly from 5V because the voltage regulator is onboard?
