Welp, this is the key here. NO, OCTOX8 is not the map listed in the diagram in the manual. That should be mixer "octoflatx" instead.

Nod to ReadError for catching that.

Re: Baseflight aka multiwii port to stm32

Motor placement matches the diagram in the naze32_rev3 PDF. Motors spin up in correct order on baseflight config motor test screen.

Re: Baseflight aka multiwii port to stm32

I'm helping my brother build an octocopter with a DIY frame and naze32 board. Using FrSky D4r-II rx and PPM. Motors were all plugged in and tested for channel and direction (M1-6 on normal pins, 7-8 on CH5-6) but the copter flips over on takeoff. The board is facing the correct direction, and accel ...

Re: Baseflight aka multiwii port to stm32

I don't have the error in front of me but it was when I was trying to setup openaero32 on a naze32 board using the AIO gui. When you go into the CLI and try to set the new var's that happysundays added it crashed loading the list.

Re: Baseflight aka multiwii port to stm32

Is the NAZE32AIO-[2012-10-20].rar the latest one or is somebody else adding patches? I've bumped into a few gui crashes here and there.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Heh, that worked. Flashing 128k works with the codesourcery compiled hex. So yeah, follow the code sourcery instructions, and when you run the STM Flash tool, pick "STM32_Med-density_128K" and flash. It'll work. My hex came out to 71k

Well I just confirmed that it does compile still, but the resulting hex file won't flash properly. It ends up much larger than 64k.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

If it's arm/disarm points then it's pretty easy to confirm on the bench with multiwiigui. Use it to check the TX input values in realtime.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

I made a video of the led-issue. m By the way, I ran into a similar problem when playing around with a bluetooth serial adapter, and I think you might be doing the same thing: Make sure your bluetooth serial module doesn't send any extra text to the Naze32 board on startup or on connect. Whenever I...

Openpilot's $200 if you can find somebody willing to sell their board second hand.

Re: Naze32 hardware discussion thread

Naze32 at the time of its release was half the price of the next closest MWC board with the same 10DOF IMU. Heck, even now there's atmega MWC boards asking for $150, shipping not included. 5,500 JPY is less than half that price.
