Frsky PPM sum hookup

Anyone know how to physically connect an Frsky receiver to get PPM to the MW board?

Some of the stuff I read over mentioned 3.3v and the risk of frying something.

Re: Does ACC get disabled under high stick movements?

Acrotrainer mode is now added to shared. With #define ACROTRAINER 200 . It's possible to fly around in level mode. Once the sticks is outside the 200 area it's in acroMode and can be flipped over. Release the stick and it will return to stable. Change the ACROTRAINER value to suite your flight styl...

Re: In MultiWiiConf 2.1, what does "Save" actually save?

Got it. So if I blow away the EEPROM, I've gotta restore my save file, but then recalibrate gyros, acc, and mag. And then manually trim my acc again. Oh, and set my aux buttons.

It would be nice if there was a way to store calibrations and ACC trim.

In MultiWiiConf 2.1, what does "Save" actually save?

Does it just save PID and AUX settings, or does it save things not exposed in the GUI (like mag/gyro calibration, and acc calibration/trim)? What about things that are not used? For example, some people were having problems with their copters yawing to one side when Mag mode was on, but then erasing...

Keep in mind that your power wires and battery produce a magnetic field. Everything may look fine when you are powering the board through the USB cable, but when the battery is plugged in and drawing current, it may be flaking out your mag sensor. I was having problems with mine, but it turned out i...

For those wondering, it does wipe everything. I put my old values in for pitch and roll, and left the rest at defaults, and it flies great.

Re: [idea] Introduce a velocity vector

If you look at the IMU code above, there are two scenarios coded into it. One with gyros only, and one with gyros and level mode. Taking into account level mode increased the time of one cycle to something like 5 times that of gyros only. Due to resource contraints, it might not be possible to do al...

Re: [idea] Introduce a velocity vector

So, would the Kalman filter be applied before sensor inputs were used at all? Or just before feeding them to the inertial nav code? If you're implementing it, I would think you might as well apply it so the resulting output is used everywhere. This would make vibration in general less of an issue th...

Too bad this firmware hasn't been ported to work on the Silabs F330 chips yet. Apparently it is possible, but no one has done it yet. Many of the ESCs coming out are switching to this chipset, but using the same model number they were when they used Atmel.

Ok, holy crap. I tried the code above. I set my RC Rate to 1.0 and my Pitch/Roll rate to 0.7. I got it up about 50 feet and tried some rolls, letting go of the stick right before it was level again. Works like a charm. Then I pulled the stick to the back right corner, and did two backwards pitch/rol...

I'm just about to test the code above. Does the Rate setting for pitch and roll get disabled in level mode? I didn't see it in the PID loop anywhere, unless it's returned from this: dynD8[axis]

If that's the case, then it DOES get disabled in Level mode.

You could also do something like that in your transmitter, rather then in the MultiWii. if your Tx has some decent firmware, that allows custom switches, it should not be so difficult. That's a good point. I have a DX6i right now, I'm not sure there's a way for me to program this into it. I have a ...

Not sure what the CPPM signal actually looks like, I'm assuming it's some sort of tag that's sent within a frame from the satellite to the control board.
