I am just playing around with a Holux GPSlim 236 on a Arduino Mega Serial port. I think the NMEA protocol doesnt provide a higher update rate than 1 Hz, which should be high enough for position hold an autonomous flight (and in contrast to the speed of quadrocopters and the precision of GPS)?
