Re: SW Development on Minim Osd
The RC-Timer has a switching regulator and should not have the overheating problem. It is not possible to do the 5v mod on the RC-Timer model AFAIK.
BUT my rctimer did burn within the hour. I got a new one from them for free, been testing it and seems OK. Have not dared to fly with it yet.

Because if you trim in acro, it will see input in level. Then you are trying to correct that with acc trim, in horizon it could even be more strange. So, it is ok if you only use acro. If your copter is not in balance, it will always need to correct that different in 2 directions. That gives problem...

You can look at the documentation and wiki of arducopter and i2c-gps-nav. Arducopter does even have a online simulator. And the navigation routines in i2c-gps-nav and multiwii are the same as in arducopter.

And check on your transmitter that the switch does not something else too. Do you have a channel monitor on your transmitter to check it?
You should not trim your quad in acro by the way. If that is needed the center of gravity is not in the right place or the speed controllers need calibration.

I have similar problems. First a big drift then circling. I'm suspecting the compass, moving it to another location.
My previous setup, a homemade pro mini with i2c GPS worked flawless. Using a cjmcu 2560 board now.

I use a mtk3329 with binary firmware version 1.9. Works great. Use the init define and the binary protocol define. If you don't use the init, it will use the default set by the GPS. If that nmea uses the right sentences, it will work as you noticed. Binary is just more efficient, precise and less ov...

Do you all run the 27ms firmware of FrSky? The default firmware can give problems with 8 channel cppm.
Test if you have the same problem if you change your transmitter ppm to 6 channels. I do this in my 9x with open9x.

It means that communication to a sensor is failing. If the sensor readings are fine, you probably defined sensors you do not have. Like a barometer, compass or i2c_GPS.

To lower voltage of power supply you need a voltage regulator. If you want to convert a signal from an high voltage you can use a voltage divider. I am also looking at a naze32. 36x36mm and 2 serial ports when using cppm. Very nice. But it is 3.3 volt and my minim osd and flytron GPS work on 5v. And PatrikE, your great rth software is not ported yet afaik.

And/or add a commandline parameter like --port /dev/ttyUSB0.

If they survived that, it is unlikely they are going to be damage afterwards. And there will be false detections, which would be dangerous. If a harddrive detects ...

If I didn't know that is was flying fine with other escs I would say that there is a vibrations issue. The throttle would bounce high and low all the time to correct for vibration. If it doesn't see a vibration for a moment, it would jump in the air because you do give lots of throttle. Try to set a...

It is not that it doesn't give a signal, but it gives a very low signal, something like 985us. That is what I got.

Unexpected reactions are often due to vibrations. Play with lpf to see if there is a difference.
For fast flight the pids should be lower. Otherwise there will be oscillations. This can be done by setting the throttle pid attenuation. I always set it to 0.3.
