no Gyro or ACC stick recalibration in MW 2.2

Hi, I recently been trying to upgrade to 2.2 - Everything works fine except that I cannot recalibrate the gyro or Acc with the usual TX stick combos- All other versions of the software calibrate w/ no problem ( I was previously using dev1143 ) Ive tried : clearing EEprom and resetting TX trims and s...

Re: Altitude Hold improvement solution

hey guys, I havent been following along on the alt hold progress so forgive me if Im missing something obvious in config or something... Ive tried the last two new dev versions- 1129 & 1143, and everything is great except for alt hold (I have a bmp085, PID= default @ 1.6/ .015/ 7)- Starting at a...

Good advice, but I was think more about changing the battery settings, timing, etc.; than throttle calibration, per say.

Way to manually program all Esc's simultaniously

Hey, this may have already been considered (and dismissed) but... I was thinking it would be helpful if there was a simple way to access all the esc's for manual programming (via transmitter sticks.) Something like the current "calibrate throttle" procedure, but instead of the arduino doin...

Re: GPS integration

Good to hear Im not alone- Mine doesnt go all the way to the ground but if it is returning home at about 30' it'll drop to about 8'. edit- just did a test flight, and after returning home it (after turning to face original orientation) it does slowly descend, and will touch the ground unless I give ...

Re: GPS integration

baro is not necessary... but something I noticed.... Unless baro/ alt hold is toggled "on", it seems like my quad always wants drop altitude upon returning home. Is this just my imagination( a result of wind/ switching from ff to a hover) or is it returning to the original "home"...

Re: Position Hold with Optical Flow sensor - done

Is optical currently available in the latest dev version? I cant find anything about it in config.h or other tabs but is listed in the GUI. (tho' the box is black not brown like the other available sensors- I assume not a good sign)

Re: Tiny-GPS integrated into Multiwii (GPS/Sonar/Optical to

yeah hoping I can at least use mine for optical and multiplexed sonar- if my copter will even take off with all the weight.

Pyrofer- make sure you get those two patches tommie posted a page or two back. Without, GPS data is really erratic and RTH and PH are disabled.

Re: Tiny-GPS integrated into Multiwii (GPS/Sonar/Optical to

Using lastest dev- tried it- just that one line? #if defined(GPS_SERIAL) || defined(TINY_GPS) - better but still not right. it now responds to RTH, but my 'copter and I seem to disagree where home is. I performed lots of gyro recalib to make sure it knew, but no change. POS still really has no effect...

Re: Tiny-GPS integrated into Multiwii (GPS/Sonar/Optical to

OK- just did a test flight. I think that there may be a problem- it flew like the gps info had no influence on the craft at all. Toggling poshold- it would continue to drift with no perceivable correction in flight. Return to home- it made no effort to return. Didnt even turn around. Im guessing tha...

Re: Tiny-GPS integrated into Multiwii (GPS/Sonar/Optical to

Ok-I think its all working properly. Is there currently any use of the optical function? I have a few ad5050's and some disposable camera lenses to play with. Not a priority, but it would be helpful if the LED functionality was increased - different "blinks" to indicate the state of GPS co...

Re: Tiny-GPS integrated into Multiwii (GPS/Sonar/Optical to

Ok- replaced those lines in gps.ino (latest dev version)- and things look way more stable- last 2 digits (lan and lon) change, but seems consistent with I2cGPS performance. Distance to home still is reading 6084 or something (changes slightly with lan+lon) - also still no flashing ring. edit- neverm...

Re: Tiny-GPS integrated into Multiwii (GPS/Sonar/Optical to

Katch, did you get to fly? How's it work? i still cant get a decent fix- the GPS values in the GUI are constantly jumping around (especially the last 5 digits of lat and lon) and there is no flashing donut, ever. Against my better judgment, I did a test flight and it was all over the place. Any idea...

Re: Tiny-GPS integrated into Multiwii (GPS/Sonar/Optical to

make sure that you have all the init stuff un-commented in config.h. I missed it the first time I programed my attiny. Pretty sure it is working now, though I didnt fully test my gps to see if it reset to the default baud/refresh rates after removing the battery. The problem Im having is that the GP...

I believe there are a few tweaks to parts of the multiwii code necessary for the i2c from tiny-gps to be recognized/read by the FC.
