I am using original board from alexmos, but for DIY, now you don't even have to build your controller like I did in begining of this topic... when you couldn't buy alex or any other... chinese are selling open source martinez version for 44$ which works natively on german code, it is not as good as ...

is it possible to take speed into account?

for example if model is going very fast and you turn on RTH, it should'nt make sharp turn or recover from dive to quickly,
it might break it's wings.

That is much better way than with GPS alt. gps is good for horizontal movement and speed readings, but in height, it has large oscillations, while even cheap baro BMP085 can hold plane as accurate as 1m. Tested many times.... I can only imagine how new MS5611 performs baro is especially good for FPV...

Does this RTH have any limitations, I mean can it work(with well dampened PIDs ) on some really fast planes? because other OSD's with rth just can't take speed into account and would make too sharp turn back in rth. I have some birds that go over 300... if they could be fitted with rth it would be g...

whining can be heard at <1m in quiet room only, GoPro is 100x closer than that :) 1cm.

but during gimbal operating, the propellers are creating much more noise, so it isn't really a problem,
pilot can't hear it,

It's not commercial because I don't sell anything, and I didn't get anything for free or on discount price. Just put my videos online to show how can homemade gimbal (for under 250$ total) perform no need for overpriced servo gimbals that just don't work so good... I used 2826 and 2830 cheap rctimer...

if you can't find them locally 5$ per piece, unlimited supply, 7-10days delivery time... m me and my friends bought them there, works as it should. in other locations (parts stores locally in my country it costs around 40$ per piece!) and here they are selling alex's controller alone, not too high p...

yes, it's super solution for many uses for little money you can setup it like here m btw, why does failsafe kick in only if I power the board without ppm stream connected? If I unplug it(PPM in) during operation, failsafe doesn't activate... did you try it? regarding eeprom and VTX, dunno, I fly lon...

thnx, my fault my 500mw 433 tx was on table when I tested it, jerks came from RX, when I plugged servo directly in it(it supports PWM+PPM at same time) it behaved same. In a rush I forgot that TX has to be over 2m away from rx for clean run now is ok on 50Hz. will try on 160Hz when I install it in p...

is at least 160 Hz ok? even enough to use it on first 2(roll+pitch) or 4 first channels(roll+pitch+thr+yaw) if possible, because now it seems a little jerky on 50Hz, even at 1000us CT on plain promini without sensors. other are just for switching OSD and autopilot options and doesn't matter so much ...
