MultiWii1_preter7 TRICOPTER YAW servo doesn't move ???
Hi, I have updated my Arduino Mega (ITG 3200/BMA180) from prebis7 to preter7. With Preter7 my Yaw servo doesn't move Everything is normal on GUI yaw movement too !!! Went back to prebis7 and everything is fine... Is someone flying a tricopter with an ATmega board and the firmware preter7 ??? Thanks,...

Re: Bug causing random flips at take off?
Hi, I've flown today for the 1st time my Mini-Quad V1.7 prebis with WM+ Original and analog accel. 5DOFIMU. Flying like in a dream, will post some pictures soon But, after a battery change I was holding it in the hand in ACRO mode just to check that everything was perfect before take-off and when ap...

Re: MultiWii v1.preter7 released
Great, Thanks a lot Alex. It would be great to have the new added functions like fail-safe and Auto-level trim implemented so that we can just remove it by checking one line like for the LCD function for example. What make the multiwii software so wonderful it's simplicity and efficiency . We should...

Re: Moongel under the sensor
Hi,
I'm using a gel too, but not Moongel, I'm using this one:
Kyosho Zeal Vibration Absorption Mounting Gel Kyosho [KYOZ8006] (it has included sticking tape one both side)
I have the sensors glued to the board and have the whole Arduino mega + shield monted on these.
Results is amazing

Re: Best way to connect ITG-3200 & BMA-180 to Mega board ?
Thanks a lot Alex for your quick reply. I will do it the way you sujested it. Use the Sparkfun LLC and permanently power the sensors (not use pin 12). Hopefully will post nice aerial's photography soon Using the LLC I will avoid the risk to load by mistake one day a firmware with pull-up enabeled an...

Best way to connect ITG-3200 & BMA-180 to Mega board ?
Hi, I'm moving from WMP & 5DOF IMU (analog accelerometer from Sparkfun). To ITG-3200 & BMA-180 all breakout board from Sparkfun. I'm thinking of 3 possibilities to connect it to my Mega board. 1) Connect the 2 sensors to 3.3v and disable the Arduino pull-up (sensor always powered). 2) Connec...

Re: Tricopter 1550g / 750mm / 830W / 81.5A
Jeez no kidding... 5800g of thrust is pretty serious. My guess is the flight time is pretty short? And how do your batteries feel about discharging at 50C? At 81.5A my tricopter flies at 80Km/h, Usually I don't cruise all the time at this speed With my 3000mAh Turnigy nanotech 25-50C pack it's no p...

Re: Tricopter 1550g / 750mm / 830W / 81.5A
Compared to the size and power of the engine an 11x5.5 APC-E is equivalent as a SF-prop on a small engine. The engine is capable to make fast change in RPM and the precision and stability achieved is perfect. With the 13x4 APC-E you are at full throttle very close to the max current allowed on this ...

Re: 5DOF IMU ROLL Wrong way Pitch OK !!!
Ok, don't know much about programming Arduino but found the answer. Alex souldn't you change this on the next v1.7 too ? My 5DOF IMU is mounted like on the aeroquad shield. changed ligne 910 on v1.6 FROM accADC[ROLL] = accADC[ROLL] - accZero[ROLL] ; TO accADC[ROLL] = - (accADC[ROLL] - accZero[ROLL])...

5DOF IMU ROLL Wrong way Pitch OK !!!
Hi everyone, Just finished assambling my Mega board with WMP Original and 5DOF IMU from Sparkfun. I have one problem the ROLL Axis goes the wrong way on the IMU. The PITCH axis is right. If I roll to the right in stabilized mode the left motor will increase speed What should I change in the code ???...

Hi, thanks a lot for your reply, I had a look, LCD was not activated and my duemilanove has an ATmega328 not the 168, no problem of space. upload goes perfectlly well untill the end. Mega board ATmega1280: Binary skech size: 15904 bytes (of a 126976 byte maximum) Duemilanove ATmega328: Binary skech ...

V1.6 on Duemilanove GUI connection problem
Hi, I noticed that with the version 1.5 loaded on an Arduino Duemilanove without any sensor connected it was possible to run the configurator and to see all the RC values working and the Cycle time as well. If I do the same but load the new version 1.6 on the new v1.6 configurator everything stay at...

5DOF+WMP VS WMP+NC
Hello, I started flying Tricopters with a modified Aeroquad software and an Arduino Duemilanove. Thanks to the wonderfull job you made on the MultiWii project (thanks a lot), I decided to move to the MultiWii platform I've seen in version 1.6 that it's possible to use the ADC accelerometer 5DOF from...
