Sounds like driver issues to me,the "no response from bootloader.Programming:failed" indicates driver not seeing it, check in device manager and make sure the driver shows in Ports when you connect to the FC. Apart from that i cant help you,sorry!

So tc beats the Chinese at what many consider to be there own game, I.E he cloned one of their products and sold the clone cheaper than the original F/F even though it was built with superior components, wrote an interface compatible with multiwii....

Bootloader shorting shouldn't be necessary unless you killed the existing firmware, the proper/easy way is sending 'R' then doing flash load. ... hm: for serial / CLI I use hercules software. They are $99.80 now and they have sold Five 3.3v boards and thirty plus 5v boards the 5v one has an LLC so its designed for 5v processors. LOL so do i with my pro mini's but the Flyduino is a new board that is just becoming available and it has different motor pins, if you look at the 1.7 sketch you will see you can select pro mini or mega because of the differences.
